Imran Abbas Naqvi

Imran Abbas Naqvi is a well-known Pakistani actor, singer, and former model. He was born on 15 October 1982 and is currently 37 years old. He started working in 2003.

While pursuing his education in NCA, Imran Abbas got affiliated with modeling and then stepped into acting. His first-ever TV appearance was in a comedy-drama titled College Jeans which was shot by NCA students.

Education

He received his early education in a junior school in Islamabad. Imran attained his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore.

Family

Imran Abbas likes to keep his family and personal life private, therefore not much is known about his family except that they are now settled in Islamabad, but being Indian from the origin, they moved to Lahore first after the Indo-Pak partition and settled there.

His family originated from Uttar Pradesh and settled in Lahore, Pakistan, after independence in 1947. The family moved to Islamabad in 1963. He has two elder brothers and three older sisters before him.

Being an Architecture graduate, Imran himself designed his family home. Imran lost his sister to a terminal disease on 7th Feb 2016.

Career

He began his career at the age of 22 workings as a model. He made his first television appearance in 2003. He also writes Urdu poetry. Imran Abbas has appeared in Pakistani dramas, telefilms, soaps, and films.

He is known for his roles in TV serials like “ Meri Aaat Zara e Benishan”, “Khuda Aur Mohabbat”,” Akbari Asghari”, “ Dil e Muztar”, “Mera Naam Yusuf hai”’ “Alvida”, “Tum Kon Piya”, “ Mohabbat tum Se Nafrat hai” and “Koi Chand Rakh”.

Bollywood

He has also appeared in Bollywood productions. Imran Abbas made his debut in Bollywood opposite Bipasha Basu in Vikram Bhatt’s film “Creature 3D” for which he was nominated at Filmfare award for Best Male Debut category.

In 2015, Abbas featured in Jaannisar directed by Muzaffar Ali alongside Pernia Qureshi. He also appeared in a Cameo role in Karan Johar’s 2016 film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” as Dr.Faisal Khan.
